Does anybody know the ticket cost for a game?

The mexico game was between $50 and $326. I am a bit outrages at ticket prices in the US comparatively. We overpay so others can underpay...sound familiar?

I usually check out seatgeek.com a few days before the game. You could of went to the Packers game Sunday night for $150 for a club level sideline seat. I think that is very fair.

Totally depends on the game. If week 17 against the Giants is a decider as to which team gets the wild card, tickets could go for as much as 5 times face value.

Average face value for Skins can range fro $25 (Standing room Only) to well over $500 a seat (Dream Seats 20 yards back from the field.

But again face value and actual cost are subject to be different depending on who we are playing and the stakes of the game at hand.

My real question was how can Mexicans afford to go to a game at US prices? So I was trying to figure out if there was a discount to promote the game, which I would have a problem with because US citizens are how they have always made money and still do.

Now my only question is what it always was...how can they afford it?

Games in Mexico, Canada, and the UK are what is calles a loss leader. Its designed to get you in the door. And I am willing to bet the games in Mexico were in Pesos not USD. SO they sell out a stadium at what amounts to $50 US per ticket on average. Did they make any real money?? Nope. But if the NFL Expands into these markets, ticket prices will go up and average out to the $80 a ticket we pay on average here in the US.

Some time you got to spend money in the short term to make it down the road. This is why they ran the NFLEU league for 7 years at a loss. NOw you could have the Browns play the Jags in London and the stadium will sell out.

Add in the fact that these games are rarely played (a few times a year in England & much less frequent in Mexico). Kind of like the Pro Bowl used to be in Hawaii - the game sucked, but it was their only chance to watch NFL football and NFL players. Heck - I would go watch the Jags play the Browns if I lived in Mexico or Europe & it was my only chance to watch NFL football (for the party atmosphere if nothing else).

In terms of Mexicans being able to afford the game - you do realize that Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world - rt? No doubt that also means that there are more than enough rich folks & people doing well enough to more than afford tickets. Even if the majority are struggling it doesn't mean that you can't find lots of other folks who can easily afford this game. Corporate sponsorship is also likely a big deal & they can give away tickets or subsidize as a means to help assists with the approach that Shark is describing.

Seriously. Mexico City has plenty of wealth. It also has staggering poverty. Kinda like Detroit:L. There are enough wealthy however, that they can fill the seats at $250/pop.
