Does anyone outside of Durant and Wesbtook ever touch the ball late in the game? My god.

They're literally playing 2 on 5 in these final minutes while GSW is playing team ball. This is the difference. Easy to lock in on Durant and Westbrook when you know the other 3 guys won't touch the ball

If OKC is going to have a chance in the playoffs, Kanter and Ibaka are going to have to come up big on the offensive side.

OKC might actually be the toughest matchup for GS. The Spurs are a better team, but OLC matches up fairly well.

I told you that last week as the reason why I didn't think they could beat GS. And for the record you argued me down that thought was ridiculous. SMH

Said this 2 weeks ago and some GSW fans laughed at me. After tonight's game I still feel that way

They involved guys most of the game. They just need to learn how to do the same thing in the final 3 minutes of a tight game.

I feel the same. OKC is the best match up for Golden St., but they hit their ceiling when only Westbrook and Durant are touching the ball. Unless both players are balling out.

They still won't because during the crunch time is where you really need to score and all OKC want to do is give the ball to either Russ or KD.

Really? Ibaka only had 8 points and 0 blocks. Waiters 4 points. Adams was the only other player with double digit points. That's not a good job of involving other guys imo.

Just because guys weren't scoring does not mean they were not involving them. They weren't doing a whole lot of the 1 or 2 on 5 for the first 3.5 quarters. They were playing within the offense. Other guys were touching the ball. In the final 3 minutes it was basically give the ball to Durant or Westbrook and watch him go 1 on 5. That is not how they were playing for most of the game

Lol ok even though all of those guys each played over 30 minutes? I'm not about to argue but will say "I told you so!"

They were not playing 1 on 5 with the other 4 standing in a corner watching for 48 minutes. I'm just going to assume you were watching another game. There was a clear difference in the OKC offense in the final 3+ minutes compared to what they did during the rest of the game.

I lean this way too. Warriors have never been able to stop Durant. The thing is, OKC's defense is mediocre so the Ws would just outscore them. Big bench disparity too. So tonight is the perfect example, Durant scores 40 and they lose by 8 just like the bookies said they would. OK I talked myself into leaning the other way.

Do you know that KD took 25 shots, RW took 22, Adams 7, Waiters & Ibaka 5 sots each. And I named them specifically because they played the most minutes. That's not sharing the ball. :dhd:

I think the Dubs need games like these to help them stay focused. But they truly are a joy to watch.

Tonight it made sense to do that though, as I said Ws just can't stop KD he should take a billion shots vs them

What is your point? Can you read? OKC can run their offense with other guys being involved in the play (This does not have to include fg attempts from those players) but the ball will usually end with a shot by Westbrook/Durant. That is fine but that is not what happened in the final 3 minutes. Those guys were going 1 on 5 with the other players not being involved in the play at all. There is a difference.

Not every team is Golden State or San Antonio. Westbrook and Durant will always get majority of shots but they need to just do a better job of involving the other 3 guys in the crucial moments of a game.

Donovan needs to change this. They need to run actual offensive sets late in the game if they would like to beat SAS or GSW 4 of 7. This can work against the other teams but not those 2 teams
