Could play less than half a season, get paid and possibly win a SB. Not to mention playing with one of the best QB's in the league, not a bad gig!

Good for him. I hope he now has his life in order and I hope he plays well. It just wasn't going to happen here, but perhaps after being let go and doing some soul searching he rededicates himself, sees how he needs to change and has success on the field again. I'll be rooting for him even though anytime he has success some idiot on social media is going to say we shouldn't have cut him

After watching the Saints/ Rams the other day - I definitely think Dez can help them. They have some big time weapons just not as many as some others.

He couldn't ask for a better situation. He put up numbers with Romo, and as good as Tony was, Brees is better. He could have a big impact...though he might need to shed a little of that table muscle it looks like he has added

I am OK with Cooper replacing dez. Cooper proved against the Titans that he runs great routes and can command double teams.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Dez Bryant left Friday's practice with what the Saints fear is a torn Achilles.
He's getting an MRI as we speak. This would be an absolutely devastating turn of events for Dez, who ended his nearly seven-month unemployment Wednesday by signing a one-year deal with New Orleans. Bryant wasn't expected to play this week anyway but now he could be lost for the season. With Bryant now likely to join Ted Ginn (knee) and Cameron Meredith (knee) on injured reserve, more will be asked of rookie deep threat Tre'Quan Smith down the stretch while Michael Thomas will continue to be a target hog for the 7-1 Saints.

Unfortunate for dez. He may need to retire if that achilles is torn. Happens to older players all the time. Meanwhile we have a young legit #1.

He probably hit practice hard the last day or so ...came out today with a tight Achilles tendon ..and snap.

I was hoping things were going to work out for him.

Well, that sucks for Dez. Likely the end of his career now. That's a one year injury and usually leads to other leg issues when you do come back. He was already unable to get a job, can't imagine anyone taking much of a flier on him in the 2020 season.
