Three Blue Devils were named 2014 Pre-Season All-American Football players by Phil Steele of ESPN. They are:

Redshirt Sophomore Safety & Kickoff Returner DeVon Edwards.

Redshirt Sophomore Offensive Guard Laken Tomlinson

Senior Wide Receiver Jamison Crowder

Steele also tabbed Tomlinson and Crowder 2014 Pre-Season First Team All-ACC.
