He becomes the new owner of the Sabres, whom he's a fan of, and was waiting years to buy, then gets to sit in the owner's box watching the game with the French Connection, the Sabres win the game, and then he goes to the locker room where Ruff hands him the winning puck.
You can tell by listening to him talk that this is all overwhelming to him because he's a fan of the game.
