Thrashers VS Sabres GNT

This is the 4th game of 6 for the Sabres at home, and they have gone 0-3 only scoring a total of 3 goals so far.

The Sabres and Thrashers have both been struggling lately. They both are on 3 game losing streaks, and while the Sabres are 5-4-1 in their last 10, the Thrashers are 2-7-1.

This is the 3rd game this year between these two teams, and they have so far split the series. This game needless to say is very important to both of these teams. They are both at 60 points and trail the Canes for the 8th spot by 5 points. The Sabres however have 3 games on hand compared to only 1 for the Thrashers in regard to the Canes.

Here's hoping the Sabres step it up this game and break out of their funk. Pegula will also be at the game, so I hope they can get a win for their new owner.

After yesterday's press conference and practice Nathan Gerbe came to center ice equipped with a drill and a piece of a puck. He drilled a hole in the Buffalo's eye and buried the puck. Gerbe said, "That was just a team getting together talking about the past few games and letting it go and moving forward from there and forgeting about those games and try to be a new team today." The Sabres have lost four straight at home and are 1-4-1 in their last six. If it works, Gerbe hopes to retrieve the puck when the ice is taken out.

I find it funny that the Sabres come into this game with a new owner and perhaps a new enthusiasm that will help them play better, while the Thrashers are looking for a new owner for a team that is struggling and losing money year after year.

Here's to winning and rubbing our success in their face tonight.

I have been saying that for the past 3 games now, but I would have to agree that a loss against this team tonight at home would signal the end of their PO hopes.

Sabres started off slow but looked good by the end of the 1st.

They have the 1-0 lead and they need to build on that in the 2nd period instead of falling back on Miller to bail them out.
