Yes those were the numbers I heard, also 6 total tackles. Now he is helped by playing with other good players but a dominating performance by a guy who was projected to be a dominant player. And we passed.

Lotta ads, no pop ups or anything on that site, and I like that it list QB hits, least that's what I assume QH means as well as tackles for losses. If those sats are accurate, you weren't fakin the funk. Williams had to of had a really nice game with 2 TFL, 2.5 sacks and 5 QB hits.

If this kid turns out to be what you think he will. That will be a HUGE fubar on Scotty Mac's part. Speaking of Scotty Mac. His overall track record draft-wise and FA-wise hasn't exactly shined and sparkled. His big FA move upon arrival was Chris Culliver. He gave the Skins a grand total of 6 games played and 16 tackles thanks to injury. Had he not fucked off his guaranteed money by violating the personal conduct policy. Sitll the 3.5+ mill he did get was too much for his producion or lack thereof

Way too early to be down on SM, his track record is too good. But I did post his first FA list and nobody seemed interested. It included Paea; Culliver; J. Johnson; RJF (the only hit) Pot Roast and some others that didn't pan out.

As for Williams I will never waiver on my position that you don't pass on a potential dominant DL to fill an immediate need. Again Scherff is a solid player, I am not knocking him, but you don't take a guard (and that is what he is and was probably always going to be) with the 5th pick unless he is Steve Hutchison while passing on a player with as much upside as Williams has.

You are correct DGF, so far his FA picks have not been great. I haven't researched how he did in previous jobs. Overall I think he is a good GM and I am glad to have him. As this year goes on he will replace guys who aren't performing. He did it last year and he did it well. No worries from me. Several have said we are still a couple of years away from where we really want to be and I agree with that. We are better, we are not good yet.

I wonder if there is something else in play here guys. The GM doesn't just make selections in the draft without major input from the man who has the responsibility of coaching them...right? Well, isn't it possible that SM passed on Williams because from the standpoint of the head coach the priority was at WR? Keep in mind that Gruden is an offensive minded coach and has a more commanding position than his DC. We don't know that there was not intense lobbying for Williams by our DC, but if there was, I'm betting that he got overruled by his bosses. All of that said, Gruden's seat is starting to warm up, if it comes down to it Gruden goes before Scott!! Thoughts?
