I hear ya Kenny, it seems unreal that he is back skating this quickly.

/Maybe he is part-cyborg?

Well he never seems to get tired out there.

Sadly when he does come back I don't think we'll see the Karlsson of old for another 6-9 months.

Pittsburgh is in Ottawa on Monday. Think that game might have a buzz if Karlsson makes his return then?

Funny how these things always seem to line up - Part of me says if he truly is ready to go, put him in the lineup, but limit his minutes.

/The other part of me says keep him out until the playoffs.

Wow I had to bump this maybe he is super human....incredible !!

When the Ottawa Senators take the ice to play the Washington Capitals on Thursday, defenseman Erik Karlsson could be back with them.

Karlsson, who suffered a severed Achilles back in mid-February at the hands -- er, feet -- of Penguins forward Matt Cooke, returned to skating a little more than a week ago. On Wednesday he took part in a full practice, leading to speculation he could be ready to go.

Man I am super impressed but like kenny said is it too fast?

Unreal.

When he skates, I bet we hear a "fwananananana" sound.

Thats is nuts! I assume the difference in severing the Achilles 70% or less is not too big a deal compared to a 100%? So Kobe Bryant should be back in time to get swept by the Spurs?

Nope, NHL players balls > NBA players balls.

Maybe Karlsson's new nickname should be Wolverine.

27 minutes of ice time. 2 assists and 8 shots on goal and he said after he played an average game....
Senators fans are lucky bastards

I take some issue with the bold section. The kid would play 57 minutes if the coach would let him.

I'm a big fan of MacLean as a coach but I think he should have eased Karlsson back in a little bit more slowly.

Still, the PP immediately looked so much better than it has been. Karlsson played well but he didn't look like he did before the injury. I think it'll be a while until we see him up to full speed. He'll probably need the offseason to regain all his leg strength and his explosiveness.

It really hits home looking at this list.

2008 NHL Entry Draft Picks at hockeydb.com

Gotta wonder how so many whiffed on Karlsson. Chicago, LA and Carolina really have to be kicking themselves.

And think about that... he could be in CHICAGO. Oof.
