All bullshit aside, would not mind seeing them move Jenkins to ILB. He has the size and when healthy he has speed. But that would be a project to a degree. So Im actually hoping we can grab Brandon Spikes.

I can see that and you're right it would be quite a project. BTW, I'm not sure if you're able to get FX channel, but they're showing......................The Waterboy!!!!

Seriously though Im hoping Spikes makes it to FA and we grab him. But odds are the Pats will hold onto him.

Lawrence Timmons is 6'1" 235...that's more of a natural ILB.

If we are just going off of size, Jenkins is 6'2" 250ish, but would be a transition move. I like Spikes because he is still young and a solid tackler. Realize he isnt the best in coverage, but odds are we are not going to find another LFB from three years ago on the fly with all the needs we have.

I don't see Jenkins making that move. He struggled mightily on STs, especially in space. In fact he was so bad shedding blocks in space that they had to pull him from the STs squads.

there arent a lot of good coverage ILBS anyway . spikes can tackle and that is what we need

Not for nothing, but every one on our roster who took the field sucked on special teams last year.
