I have always wanted us to get paired up again with Florida State in the national championship.........because when I first started watching Nebraska football (3 years old) Florida State beat us like 4 times in bowl games within a span of 6 years.

I remember that first one (1988?) we were up 14-0 on them in the 1st quarter, and they scored 21 points unanswered in the second quarter and beat us.

LOL........I must tell you, I was exposed to Husker football immediately when I entered this world............and I've been a freak of a Husker fan since I was old enough to understand it.

In 1995, I walked into the football stadium with my parents just on a random day......and the weight room used to be in a different location, but you could stand outside the glass windows and watch them.

I pounded on the glass and got the attention of one of the players. He comes out and says "sorry buddy, Tommie and Lawrence aren't in here today....."

I said, "no, Jay Sims, I want your autograph...."

He about shit his pants. The guy was 3rd/4th string running back. But I knew the entire roster from top to bottom........every single name, and every single face. I still have the t-shirt, unwashed and unworn, with his autograph on it.

First piece of clothing I ever wore was a husker onesie and a husker cap. Came home on a saturday, we played colorado. First game I ever went to was the '89 Oklahoma game. I was 13 months old and they tore down the goal posts.

I think I can say I was born to be a husker fan without a doubt.

I really take losses hard..........I'm not gonna lie, when Solich had that one really bad season, I about lost it. I couldn't handle that shit.....

Then when Callahan took over, I just had to reprogram my mind and accept failure. I knew it would be over as soon as Tom Osborne got involved.......so I decided to just wait it out.

Now, with Bo at the helm, I again take losses extremely hard........because I expect us to go undefeated every single year. Obviously that is not realistic, but it is what I expect.

Just look at how much more physical we are than Colorado in that video.........that is what I want to see again.

Our defense looks similar now, but it is our offensive line that has lacked that intensity for years.

I barely remember it, but when we lost to Iowa state bad right after we lost to Penn state really bad... I think it was '02 or '03 Idk I just remember throwing shit around. I remember tossing a chair off of the loft down on to the coffee table.
