I have a Brian that needs to be dealt with... ;)

Carnivore works, just be careful with high fat or high sodium meats.

Pat Surtain II was one of two notable Broncos absent from the team’s OTA practice last Thursday.
The other was defensive end John Franklin-Myers, who is in the last year of his current contract. Franklin-Myers, who has made it clear that he wants a contract extension, has been training on his own. The 28-year-old Franklin-Myers set a career high with 7 sacks last season. The Broncos expect him to be on hand at mandatory minicamp, which begins June 10. As for Surtain II, the 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, he has been at the Broncos complex at times during the offseason. The OTA sessions are voluntary.

Payton said he needs to get Estime more carries.

Yeah, we know buddy!

I do like how he publicly notes this stuff with Estime and with Mims last year.

Everyone thinks he has such a big EGO but he will criticize his own coaching and not hide things from the media that he thinks he needs to do a better job at.

I think people confuse EGO with a man that just doesn't have a filter. There are those times that he says things without really thinking through how they will be perceived. Him calling the coaching by Hackett and his coaching staff some of the worst coaching he has seen is factual, but maybe something that shouldn't have been put out to the public. The fact that Hackett has struggled both before he came to Denver (outside of one good year with Jacksonville and Rodgers being his QB) and been demoted and fired because of doing such a terrible job since should show the rest of the league agrees with Payton's assessment.

I do think he has a bit of an EGO, but pretty sure that is part for the course in the NFL. Like you said the fact that he can recognize he has made mistakes along the way is a huge sign of a man that is willing to self scout and admit shortcomings. I would say Vic Fangio had a much bigger ego than Payton. He never once would say he messed up while here in Denver. It was always other coaches or the players not executing. I think of McDaniels a few years after getting fired in Denver and someone asked him what he learned for the next time he stepped in as a HC and he pretty much said he wouldn't change a thing and didn't think he really did anything wrong. I mean getting caught cheating I guess doesn't seem like a big deal to him.
