Former Iowa and Giants S Tyler Sash found dead in his apartment this morning... Sad day in Hawk nation. I had a class with Tyler. Seemed like a decent guy. Liked his alcohol quite a bit.

I'm sorry, Scott. I love states like Iowa where together they grieve the loss of one of their own. I may joke about it at times, but love heartland states where even as a state, there is a sense of community.

So I think I have figured out who is my least favorite sports guy on the major networks. Dave Dameshek to me is the biggest joke when it comes to understanding football. I've seen other analyst/past players even look at the guy with a "What the heck are you thinking?" type look. Since Manning came to town he has picked either the Chiefs or Chargers to win the division with every year picking the Broncos to miss the playoffs or barely squeak in. He just seems to have something against Manning. I don't think it is something against the Broncos. He just has this "Manning is over the hill and can't play the game anymore" type saying every time he talks about the Broncos for the past 4 years. I know others have but for some reason he just has such an arrogance about him that I just want to reach through my computer screen or tv and shake him into having a decent thought. Ok rant over.

I call him drunk motor mouth ...only one thing he did that was cool by me he did a tribute of TD and Our SB wins ..

I was just listening to a segment on the NFL Network where they were previewing the AFC West and what they talked about for the Broncos they asked the question of "Does Manning once again stick it to Dave Damasheck?" I guess for the last 6 years he has been predicting that Manning would fall apart and it has become this just personal vendetta now for him that he has to get this right one of these years. It is why every year he continues to pick against the Broncos as he wants to be the guy that says "Ha! Told you guys Manning was done!" I guess if that is all it takes to be an analyst in the league then I will start right now that Aaron Rodgers is on the decline and his career is done. I figure in 10 years from now I might be right on it.

Yeah. It takes a lot of balls to predict a 34 yr old qb is going to start declining even without injury. He's a friggin genius!

If I was an NFL player I would love to tackle a LT.. I hope they aren't stupid enough to smack them head on. That would be dumb. There are much easier ways to tackle a LT then head on full speed. Plus him catching a punt in the first place would be very low risk, running after the punt would be low risk and stripping him would be highly likely.

Did anyone see that Seahawks QB Wilson tweeted before the game with the Rams - that the Seahawks will start the season 1-0 - only to lose the game and have the Rams retweet his tweet with the request that he not delete his game prediction?

I was so happy to see Seattle go down like they did. Equally happy to see both the Colts and Raiders go down in embarrassing fashion as well. Both of those teams were getting hyped big time to have big years this year or at least look much better than they have and both laid an egg.
