Nuggets need more pieces but, finally they aren't a joke anymore great to see. We will have the youngest back court in NBA. What moves do you think Nuggs need to do this summer? I think Nuggs need and enforcer PF and C thoughts. Do you see Gallo or Faried traded

Leave for a few days and miss out on all the NBA Draft talk. Honestly was not a huge NBA fan for a long time. This past year though my wife surprised me with a guys trip with some of my best friends to head to a Nuggets game that went into overtime with the Nuggets winning last second. So after that started paying more attention to them and with listening to 104.3 they talk about them some so have started really getting into it a bit more.

I loved this draft for them. Really fits well with 2 things in my opinion

1) Just the way the NBA is going with the backcourt being the focal point of teams and needing to be a good shooting team. They got 3 guys that all do well in that respect and can really widen the court. Probably the happiest guy in Denver right now is Mudiay. He got some guys he can dish it to that know what to do with the ball plus with them being able to space things out it really clears out the lane to take advantage of his superior athleticism at attacking the basket.

2) All of these guys look like guys who can run. What I mean by that is Denver has one of the biggest advantages for most pro sports in having the altitude. They can run teams to death and why I am glad they haven't traded any of their backcourt guys yet. Having that depth to keep subbing in and having fresh legs to really run teams to death I think could be a huge home court advantage. Could really show up in those close games in the 4th quarter where they start going the Nuggets way.

Probably not this year but next year the Nuggets really could get back on track of being a contender. Need some more pieces of course but this plus last year's moves to me really brought them out of the hole they were in.

The Warriors and Broncos are shining examples of what can happen when the front office is overhauled with the right people

I'm a fan of what Tim Connelly is doing with the Nuggets as well. They are in a very god financial position moving forward with a core of good young players.

Only thing missing now I would say is the ability to attract some of the top Free Agents. The NBA has shown that this is a star league and you need at least one if not two to shine. Now maybe Mudiay and somebody from this draft become that but I think they will need an outside body to come in and really add to the group. Unfortunately right now they just don't have the attraction to really bring in that big name player at this moment. Maybe a year of success with these young guys and a big name decides this is a great place to come and be that next up and coming team. We shall see.

Part of the problem though is the big market teams like Miami, LA, NY, Chicago and such have a huge leg up in the FA market. The shoe companies from what I understand will offer them incentives to go to these markets by saying something like "We will increase your contract by 10% if you go to NY or LA." Well on a $250 million shoe deal that is another $25 million in their pocket just by going to a big market. Hard to match that from a small market like Denver.

Love the look of his shot. For a big man he definitely doesn't shoot like one. Looks more like the stretch-4 of today's NBA. A little undersized but will make teams have to defend him all over the floor. Also love that he is coming from what is considered maybe the 2nd best league only behind the NBA. So I don't think the transition will be quite as drastic and he can be a guy that contributes very quickly.

Sad day in sports. Pat Summitt was maybe the best advocate in the country when it came to women's sports and really putting them on the map. She started coaching during a time that women's sports were mostly just tolerated as long as they did not interfere with that of the men's sports. They were telling a story this morning of a game she was coaching going into overtime and the Men's coach came out and told them that if they wanted to finish the game they had to go to another gym because the men needed this one now. She fought through those dark times to now be able to see a very bright future in women's sports across the world.

The amount of Tennessee football players I have talked to who have made respect for Pat Summitt is pretty telling. Great teacher, leader and motivator.

The one thing I miss about KFFL. Now everyone can nitpick any grammar errors that I notice 2 days after going back and re-reading my post. ;)

I won't annoy anyone with bbball talk but since it is the first day of NBA FA.

Blazers and Grizzlies offer max deal to Chandler Parsons.

Joakim Noah to the Knicks.

Jeremy Lin to the Nets

Bradley Beal and Hassan Whiteside re-sign.
