Sometimes you get a replacement of much higher value for the price of what they don't have in stock. I think I have about a 30 minute notice to have them take a recommended a substitution off the list. Talking Butt family business is a pleasant way to pass the time.

Indeed. And unless something is specifically required for a recipe or dietary need, I'll allow substitutions for the very fact that its usually a better product.

I had to leave Corpus Christi because Whataburger and HEB - were clients of mine and they both moved to San Antonio. Corpus Christi is really a cool place, but it is located at the end of the world - not on the way to anywhere else.

CC is almost the equivalent to Galveston. I did enjoy a number of seafood restaurants there last summer though. Be thankful you don't have to follow Whatsburger to their corporate office now... Or maybe you could snowbird them and enjoy some sox games.

The Sox are on a pace to lose 110 games. Whataburger sucks now that the money people are running the program.
