That was some game last night between the Nugs and Grizzles. One of the most exciting basketball games I have ever listened to. MVP Joker got 47 points - 15 rebounds and 8 assists -made a big defensive stop - crucial free throws - even committed a very smart foul - to win the night for the Nuggets. It seems like the more the Nuggets are challenged by injuries - the more load Joker takes on himself. It was just amazing!

It was really good to see them find a way to win when guys like MPJ were off and with Morris out once again. I saw today that Draftkings isn't even taking bets on the MVP anymore. The bet is too easy to win.

TJ Ward announced his retirement today, dude definitely brought the swagger back to this defense when he played. Plus he was super cool when I met him so that’s always a plus.

TJ Ward announced his retirement today, dude definitely brought the swagger back to this defense when he played. Plus he was super cool when I met him so that’s always a plus.

I thought that was kind of interesting because he kind of unofficially retired 3 years ago. Another player that really kind of died down quickly after we released him.

TJ Ward and Darian Stewart both officially announced the retirements in the last year now. Two guys who will forever be remembered on our Super Bowl Team. I thought Stewart was the most underrated player on our D during that era and Ward brought the emotion and both brought physicality in which we didn't have when we got wiped away by the Seahawks in the SB the two years prior to winning it vs Carolina. Ha to be the best safety duo Denver has had since the Steve Atwater/ Dennis Smith/Tyrone Braxton era (when Braxton moved to S for our SB years)

I’d honestly rate Justin Simmons and Kareem Jackson a better duo but it does say something about our defense that we went from top tier Safeties in Ward and Stewart to even better with our current duo.

Another amazing thing is just how different in concept the defensive scheme was in those days vs a Fangio pass defense.
