He has stated he is not staying much longer so go F##k your self. You became a bitter creep not sure why but I think to ignore with you because nothing to learn from you but bitterness

I myself love Elway and will miss his winning ways. no one is perfect ........... well except your sorry ass ................ well in your eyes goodbye you are sorry and have run off 10 times better posters than your sorry ass.
Your in love with the HOFer Crash. He's not a hof GM though. The move to go after Manning was more desperation than insight. There was no options left and if it wasn't for a # 1 D in SB 50, he'd have a pretty dismal GM performance especially in draft other than Von. Peace:)

@58crash - the reason I like you and @randymon is that neither of you subscribe to group think responses on this forum. We should all be more tolerant of viewpoints that are different than ours.

I will give that some thought Mingo. you are always fair with your thoughts.

All I know is I am going to miss Elway. If he quits in the near future.

Damn it is mighty hard to please you he built that D that has made Carriers wiped out after facing that D.

Who is the QB that plays for the Panther? the NFL use to talk about him like he was a star!?!?

Is it time to re-examine the Tim Tebow era? When Tim Tebow rose to the starting QB of the Broncos and got them into the playoffs and a miraculous playoff win - all the credit went to Mike McCoy and Adam Gase. These coaches were geniuses who took the offense and redesigned it on the fly to enable Tebow to be credible as an NFL QB.

Both McCoy and Gase got NFL head coaching jobs out of the episode. It may be time to give Tim Tebow a little more credit since neither McCoy nor Gase have exactly shown themselves to be geniuses since 2011.

I enjoyed Super Bowl 50. I don’t care how or why we got there. We won it! That’s all that matters. That being said Elway does need to step it up!

Anyone else feels like Demaryius Thomas won't make the Patriots this year? It seems like a very typical Patrits offseason move. They did it with Torry Holt, Eric Decker among others.. Sign a vet as a safety net... Patriots have a few young WR's in Maruice Harris and Jakobi Meyers looking good. They drafted N'Keal Harry in round 1 who has been hurt, and they get Josh Gordon back on top of Braxton Berrios and Edelman returning.

I was thinking that recently - as well. Being cut by the Patriots after being a Denver Bronco All Pro is a humiliating future.

Tebow was a competitor. He used that will to compete to make up for lack of tools that provide more competent QB’s long, productive careers. That will to compete led him to success in college because at that level, it’s a lot easier to make up for deficits. The NFL is a different beast. Your flaws will be exposed and taken advantage of if you don’t adjust. Tebow caught lightning in a bottle and his competitive spirit was just enough to get an 8-8 record and a playoff win. But even in that season it wasn’t enough to win the division (we needed help), nor was it enough to even challenge the Patriots. Gase and McCoy played their roles, but their contributions alone didn’t create the phenomenon that was Tebow.

And - what a thing it was to behold as that season unfolded. We should remember, though, in that 8-8 season Tebow went 8-5 (including the playoff game).

Feels like he took the same route as Eric Decker... Cept I doubt DT retires.

Tebow was a very good maybe dare say great backyard QB.

Problem was his inaccuracy made it difficult for the other 10 on offense to practice and hard to replicate an offensive scheme year over year. He did as much as he could going to coaches like Brady does.

I always called Tebow “Tim try hard”
But the NFL is a do good league

I agree with your opinion 100%.

I am saying in retrospect - McCoy and Gase made careers out of that stretch of Bronco games - and Tebow got the bus ticket out of town. McCoy and Gase, however, have not distinguished themselves since, but they made a lot of money. Everything unfold as it should have - with Manning coming in, but I'm thinking Tebow had some intangibles going for him that season.

Gase maybe made his money in 2013 with Manning’s endorsement

McCoy for sure rode Tebow to a HC position

He also had a lot of luck going for him that season.

Elway got up to Super Bowl 48 and 50 and we won one. I couldn't care less how it unfolded. He's also had some pretty shitty drafts along the way that left the team depleted. That's how football goes. You can go through the list of 100's of GMs who didn't get to, let alone win a Super Bowl. Elway is far from perfect but #7 will always be one of my heroes.

Go Broncos!
