The very first instance of the term "throw back jersey" comes from the time Springstein finished his HS football career and at the end of the final home game - Springstein got so excited he took his jersey off and threw it into the home town seats. They threw it back. He doesn't want to brag about it - but George discovered the original "throw back jersey."
