Speaking of which, I'm thinking of taking the plunge and getting a crossbow. I've never hunted with one before, what say ye? Any suggestions on a decent crossbow? Amazon had this deal:Barnett quad 400 with 3 bolts,scope, and quiver for 299.

345 ft/sec is fast. Faster than my compound that's for sure. What kind of crank is good for these things? Is the rope ones good enough? How good are Barnett's? I don't want the limbs exploding in my face
