wow 15 years ago ... Crazy that I watched (only parts of) that game from VGH triage area with nurses and doctors after my dad had a TIA ... and that he's still with us today.

Philadelphia Flyers–Ottawa Senators brawl - Wikipedia
21 (!) years ago today.
I picked the wrong game to be in Philly wearing a Senators Jersey. I had gotten tickets from a vendor and me and three co-workers (who had never watched hockey before) went, expecting to be in a skybox away from the animals. Nope. Second row, at the end of the Sens Bench. I spent the game on the glass, shoulder to shoulder with Martin Prusek. The first fight happened right in front of us.
Yes, I took the jersey off eventually but did have some acknowledgment from some Sens players. Mike Fisher gave me an air high five when he got tossed.
