Why is it that most people don't get the fact that you should run your A/C compressor even in the winter when the heat is on????

My wife, my daughter, my son all let the windows fog up when they drive around and have no understanding that it's the A/C compressor that takes the moisture out of the air even after I have explained it to them, and NO it doesn't make the heat come out cold, and YES, leave it on all the time, and NO don't use recirculate/max in the winter, it only adds to the moisture problem.

Sorry, just had to get that one off my chest.

Others??

When you park on a hill you should always put your emergency brake on before shifting into Park.
So when you go to drive it next time the shift lever isn't virtually impossible to put into reverse/drive and when you do you get this god awful CLANKING SOUND that just doesn't do anything good for the transmission.

What is it about this concept my wife and mother don't understand.
I mean it's every damn time, CLANK.

Wifey doesnt understand you have to put gas in the MFer for it to run. That's probably when it's buried on "E" every time I drive her Explorer.

I run my A/C compressor year round.

"But it wastes gas"

I drive a V8 100 miles a day...turning the A/C off never saved me a drop of gas in the long run.

In an underpowered car, A/C robs valuable power. Not that you need it in snow and ice (Power that is).

If I was doing aggressive warm weather driving I'd usually shut off A/C if I was doing a lot of passing, for the added grunt.

But I'd switch it back on once running in the clear.
