I like Kirk, looks like Gruden just doesn't trust him anymore. Maybe his trade demand a couple of weeks ago rubbed Jay the wrong way. Joe is tight with Dan, and it's not like he has an ax to grind with KC, because he said in preseason that Kirk was the best qb on the roster. We'll see. Jay is on record as saying he wants no part of a 3 way comp this summer.

YOu should care. We are in no position to draft a QB high. Trading Griffin and Kirk would essentially mean we might do just that. Smart money would keep them both, let them compete and fix the O-line this year. Christopher Reeves could have thrown for 3500 yards behind the line Dallas put together.

I'm not so sure. I think at that point, grudgen was in discovery mode. Try all 3 and see who shows anything. IMO, Kirk showed the greatest ability to run Grudens offense. While the INTs were troubling, this has been a fault in others that was erased with coaching, practice and experience. However, a fault like lack of pocket presence is not so easy to overcome.

I think both Robert and Kirk will be here next year and it will be an open competition this spring. As for colt, I'm not so sure he will make it. He really doesn't give us anything we don't have in the other two. There won't be enough reps in the spring for a three way competition. Our 3rd QB will be a rookie.
