The WR position this year

For a team that is supposedly set at the position, we have brought in alot of bodies.

We drafted one, and signed six more as UDFA's. Thats basically 1/6 of our 90 man roster devoted to the position. With three as dead locks, that leaves nine guys fighting for 3-4 roster spots.

Actually, I think I read somewhere the 'Skins really liked Marcus Smith out of Louisville. Seems like they might have been going DE/OLB type of body no matter what.

I would say Gruden's comment about letting Orakpo play out his tag holds water. Now that Kerrigan has had his option year picked up he is here for two more years unless Orakpo kills it and the front office decides they want to resign him to a huge pay day. If that happens then I would look for a Kerrigan trade. I just don't see them paying $18-20 million for two OLBs in 2015. believe there is a good chance the plan was to get a pass rusher.

I think Gruden is only set on three WR positions and that is why all the competition.

Gruden said as much. They had identified 3-4 OLBs they were interested in and they all had similar grades. A couple of them were already picked when our turn came up so they went with Murphy. But I stress that gruden said that they all graded out similarly. Van noy may have been one of them.

The Byu kid is interesting. Hopefully we can trade Hankerson to Cle b/c of Kyle. If that happens this Grant kid has a shot to make the team.

might as well deal Orakpo early, they clearly don't want him, couldn't agree on a deal, and they didn't reach for a OT.
You can get a #1 for him.
