I thought you just got a new smoker not too long ago? You a smokin' fool!

I got one of those Brinkman Smoke n Grill smokers a while back. Even with the modifications I did it's getting hard to keep the temp consistent. Been wanting a new Weber for quite some time now. I haven't been this excited about a present in a long time lol.
pics or it didn't happen
I put the word out that I wanted a new wider locker style smoker, not thinking I got it though. Best chance was tonight from the inlaws, she can't keep it here without me knowing.
I did a ham once, didn't like it. Turned out too juicy, just not right for ham.
So I need to get me a smoker is what y'all are saying?
It's 28 degrees (kinda windy too) out here right now. Not the best temp to keep a smoker up to a high temp in. Not a big fan.
I love me some smoked ham. Gonna have ham leftovers for atleast a week.
I got one of the new iGrill mini's tonight, I know how you feel Hoping to put that to good use this weekend, but going to depend on either getting the new smoker or fixing the manifold on the current one.
looks nice!
That windy and cold weather is why I cheat, I use a propane smoker. Two buddies of mine gave me shit about that for the longest time, until their wives started telling em that what I cook tastes better than what they do. Unless you have a really well insulated firebox, its just too darn hard to use a wood smoker correctly. I can dial in the smoke just right and have the time down to the minute. I do love running the wood smokers in the summer, but thankful for gas smoker in the winter or doing an all night brisket.
Let us know how that thing works out. It seems pretty damn cool.
I've been eyeballing the smaller propane and electric smokers at Lowes. Figured it'd be good for the reasons you mentioned just haven't been able to bring myself to commit just yet. I really like playing with fire.
I've used the original iGrill and it was pretty cool, but with the new mini being only $40 I had to jump and ask for one (hoping for a couple actually). I just plugged it in and played with it while everyone else was opening stuff tonight, it has a "globe" feature that allows me to see anyone in the country (maybe world, didn't zoom out) who wants to turn that feature on. I can see what they are cooking and how close they are.
That's just a gimmicky feature, but pretty cool. I already added my buddy who also got a mini this week so I can know when I need to head to his place because foods nearly done
