Can someone give me an explanation of why Carol left? Maybe I didn't pay enough attention, but I just don't get why she left.

You can read back a page or two when they tried to explain it to me, I still dont buy it. There are alot of people in Alexandria that do not kill to stay there.

I just realized why they killed Denise (read at your own risk)

So in the comics Maggie and Glenn go to Hilltop because Maggie is pregnant and they don't feel safe in Alexandria anymore and Hilltop has a doctor. Well, they just killed the only doctor in Alexandria, so Glenn (?), Maggie and probably Enid (to replace Sophia) are going to the Hilltop and starting that storyline. Will Glenn make it? I'm starting to think it still makes the most sense to kill Glenn, even with all the jimmy-jacking they did last half-season.

But Denise was still alive in the books when Maggie and Sophia left for the Hilltop. IIRC, she wanted a change of scenery and felt that the Hilltop was safer because of the wall. I may be off on the reasons, though. It has been a while since I read it.

If the cliffhanger spoils are wrong then Gimple is gonna get a good last laugh.

People are harassing him big time already on Twitter and stuff I guess.

I just hope they show it. The Polaroids they found at the satellite station were pretty graphic, so I suspect they WILL show it.

I think it absolutely gets shown. It's the matter of wait 6 months to see or not. Which not only sucks but I think it increases the likelihood that Aaron is the victim(or Eugene) which is fucking lame.

I'm holding out hope they filmed it both ways so early screeners couldn't leak the death. And we will get the actual footage in 2 weeks.

This finale will be epic if they don't cop out. I've read some other things that's take place(since they didn't involve deaths I didn't mind knowing) and the finale sounds really fucking good outside the rumored cliff hanger.

I understood what you were ranting about, and I feel the same way. I just 100% expect the cliffhanger. It is too typical Hollywood for them NOT to make it a cliffhanger.

But it HAS HAS HAS HAS to be at least one A character. I consider these to be "A" characters...

Rick (not gonna happen)
Carl (not gonna happen)
Michone (not gonna happen)
Carol (maybe)
Glenn (likely)
Maggie (doubtful)
Abe (likely)
Eugene (not gonna happen - bullets, becomes Rick's chief engineer post-war)
Daryl (possible)

"B" Characters (too minor to be THE death)...

Sasha
Morgan
Tara
Rosita
Gabriel

"C" Characters (or character who WILL be "A" Characters)

Spencer (his fate is too important to end this way)
Aaron (I always liked him, but he is just not used)
Eric (Is he still alive?)
Heath (maybe, but would be a cop-out)
Paul (he will be an "A" character starting next season)
Gregory (no way he will be in the van)
Kal (too minor on the show right now, but has an important role moving forward)
Tobin
Dwight (currently on the wrong team, but will be an "A" character by the end of next season)

Yeah I agree it's the Hollywood route with cliffhangers but this is different. For example GOT ended on a cliffhanger but we saw the death. That would be the case here, show whoever get bashed...cut to black. You can cliffhanger who he chooses. Literally cannot possible make a S7 promo and the death will leak a week into filming. Which is also why I think that would lead to a B character chosen. You think They are gonna have Glenn or Daryl show up to film a quick 5 minutes of S7?

I'm all for cliffhangers. Boost the anticipation. But you can't completely hide such an iconic moment. It will make the impact non existent and ruin Negans entrance.

I guess it just doesn't make much sense to me, and that's probably what she's going through too. To me it just seems like time to waste before the finale. So hopefully it ties in to a bigger scheme of things down the road, and not just into the next 2 episodes.

I think she is afraid she is losing her humanity in a fucked up world. Gotta become a monster to beat the monsters.

Naw, I read the spoilers. Not as if most of them are actually telling you what is going to happen. Just what did in the comics version. And I really don't remember most of what is said up here when I'm watching the new ones anyway.

Scott Gimple, the master of doublespeak. When asked how closely the Negan/Lucille episode will mirror the comic, this was his reply:

“Let me put it this way: Whatever it is, it’s really just all in service to being faithful to the comic book inasmuch as one can. That’s always going to be relatively subjective as to what that means. But taking inspiration from the moments of the comic book and playing them out to the ends of what it can be, it’s all just like taking that moment from the book and figuring out a way to turn it up to get those feelings that it gave you and those emotions that it gave you that much more.

“Sometimes we have things from the book that people who read the comics maybe see coming a mile away, and we try to adjust that so that we can give them the same feeling they had when reading the book, which might have been shock or surprise or fear, any of those things. It might be wildly different, but it’s all to get the same sort of feelings that you got when you read them. So will it be different? Absolutely. Will it be the same thing? Absolutely.”

This event is the most iconic event of the entire comics. It WILL happen. But this statement tells me the "who" will almost certainly change. The only question is, is my proposed alternate a big enough character to get the desired response from the audience?

So correct me if I am wrong, but I have been told from a few people that it will be an original cast member from S1. The only people from S1 I can think of are: Rick, Carl, Carol, Glenn, Morgan.

What if it is Carl, I mean that would totally send Rick off the deep end. Hell it might even bring Morgan back to killing again....The cast has said this was a hard one to take...can't think of anything worse than Carl getting his head smashed in....

He's definitely the master of giving a long answer that isn't an answe. The last line sums up his stupidity.

Sadly for him, there is a 50/50 chance he loses his job. A massive backlash is coming and AmC is going to be back into a corner

I doubt he suffers anything. This back half has nothing short of amazing. And if there is a cliffhanger, it will result in huge numbers.

There may be a few loud rabble-rousers, but the masses will gobble it up.

They already had to backtrack on the usual spoiler page on Facebook and have it taken down. There has been a vanity fair article and countless harassing of Gimple. And this is just with rumors.

They already did a Glenn fake out just this season. The uproar is going to be immense. Idk if they actually can the guy for it though. But they made changes before and Gimple is proving to be a 1 trick pony relying on shock cliff hangers/fake outs and not much else.

Right now, Gimple is AMC's golden boy...and I'd imagine his services are in huge demand at the moment.

TWD is pretty much looked at as the most successful cable show ever. As showrunner, Gimple (rightfully or wrongfully) gets a huge amount of credit for that success.

He is in that zone where he can do no wrong in his bosses' eyes.

Gonna be really interesting to see what he does. For the sake of the show, I hope he stays on course.
