No. What a blown call. That is worst than the Jets\pats game.

here is the explanation from the jets game.

Referee Tony Corrente, who participated in the review via a sideline tablet, told a pool reporter that a replay angle popped up at the end of the review to confirm the reversal. Seferian-Jenkins lost control of the ball a second time, according to Corrente, and he recovered only after his knee landed out of bounds. "It was pretty obvious," Corrente said.

it was the right call. The Davis call was so obvious. That is not getting any headlines b/c we won the game.

Defend ... no. Know what they and the league are going to fall back on ... yes. Part of sports is bad calls. Yeah I know they are supposed to eliminate that with replay but we all know they haven't. You have to hope more go your way than against.

All we as fans want is for the refs to get the call right. Regardless if it goes your way or not. We want consistency. I could easily see from my couch Davis did not fumble the ball. It's a joke a guy on his couch can make a better and more accurate call than an idiot ref right there on the field.

Agreed, no defense from me either, however, the NFL will no doubt stick with the ole' "there needed to be clear, conclusive video evidence in order to overturn the call on the field." I think that some are confusing the yanking motion with when the ball actually came out. because we couldn't fully see the ball, there's no telling if it was coming loose before or after the yank. Bad call IMO, great call for a 49'er fan.

Would you concede proximity a factor between what you saw from your couch and what the ref saw on the field?

The ref saw the exact same thing that I saw.. what we all saw. He had the same clear views that I had... and he blew it. For what ever reason.. he blew it. Sometimes I think they over think things out there.

OK, again I'm not defending the call, ref said that he saw a fumble, there was not enough video evidence to conclusively overturn his call....play stands.

The league has determined that turnovers are more exciting and make the game more interesting, getting people talking about the game. They have instructed the refs to call it a turnover on the field when in doubt and let it play out. Once it is ruled a turnover on the field, it is near impossible to get it reversed.

I know he was down because common sense tells you that but anyone that says they can see the ball in his hand while his other arm touches the ground has Xray vision.

Excellent point....thus NO indisputable video evidence to overturn the call on the field.

We who watch these games, especially those who are invested in outcomes (favorite team, home team, FF etc) will never agree with that call....period....but trust me, I've tried to use the force to change the outcome, and the shit just doesn't work:D.

Blow outs are not good for the NFL viewership. The Refs are going to make some shitty calls every week. The Redskins are not yet one of those teams that are going to get that Ref call every time.

IM going to call it now, the Niners or the Browns are going to win this coming weekend, there will be some reffing involved. The Refs aint there to be fair and impartial.

The one lone exception that I'd make regarding blowouts is the L.A. Rams, who desperately need something that will put asses in seats. Winning will do, but L.A. is a funny marketplace in which it takes a bit more than close wins to attract the stars and make it the "chic" thing to do on a Sunday.
