I did hear something on the radio being surprised that the Kings traded him because they do he was going to be good. Do you think they got enough compensation for him? Did you think he would stay for the next contract if they kept them? Would they have had to get rid of somebody else that is good to keep him or just other people in general?

Instead of using him in a trade for Domantas Sabonis, they should have given Indiana two first round draft picks instead. And kept Haliburton.

That's normally the going rate for a multiple time All-Star (DeRozan only netted one first round pick from Toronto to San Antonio, and then from San Antonio to Chicago).

Vucevic netted two first round picks from Orlando to Chicago.

Rudy Gobert blew that out, but until then, two first round picks for Sabonis, while keeping Haliburton, would have been fair based on past deals.

Haliburton was close to winning rookie of the year. He finished 3rd, should have finished 2nd.

So they knew he was good.

Yes he would have stayed.

Now, he goes on some podcast every week and talks about how evil the Kings are. He was on JJ Redick's podcast recently.

The compensation might have been fair, because the Kings did get Sabonis. But keeping Haliburton and giving Indiana two first round draft picks would have been just as good.

This had never been done before in NBA history. 40 assists over 3 games, with no turnovers.

He committed his penultimate turnover in the Minnesota game, then has 1 assist.

Then he has 15 assists against Brooklyn.

Then he has 11 assists against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Then he has 14 assists assists against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Then he had 3 assists against Sacramento, then had a turnover.

That's a streak of 44 assists without a turnover.
