Standing ovation for these 2 middle infielders. Andrus has had his share of gaffes in the field this year, but his 5th inning web gem should be on WS highlight reels for the next 20 years. And Kinslers' bared handed turn for 2 was almost equally as impressive. Big big kudos for coming up huge when the stakes are so high. And Beltre is no slouch at the hot corner either. And let's not forget 1st base where...

Anyway, big props to Andrus and Kinsler for putting on a clinic out there. That is how you do it on the big stage.

I made an observation on Kinsler last night. For some reason, after Kinsler was thrown out in game 1, I felt the game was over. I'm rarely pessimistic and I know it was only the first out, but I had that feeling. We knew baserunners were going to be hard to come by, and to get thrown out right away took all the wind out of the sails. When Kinsler stole last night, I knew we were going to win. Everyone will talk about Cruz's ALCS and all our other guys, but Kinsler is our unsung hero. Rangers baseball starts with him. Getting on base, stealing, scoring runs, hitting for power, and being amazing defensively. Those great plays him and Andrus made last night and their combined baserunning put the swagger back in this team, and I think it follows them back to Arlington.

Since 1955 when MLB began awarding the World Series MVP ... a second baseman has won it only once ... Bobby Richardson, 1960. If Kinsler keeps up his play through the series he could be in line to be only the second 2d baseman to win it.

I'd go for that as long as the other half of the piece of history doesn't happen. Richardson is not only the only second baseman to win the MVP ... he's the only winner to come from the series' losing team in the history of the award.

Kinsler is a excellent defensive second basemen and Andrus gets to balls that most shortstops don't get to. Derrek Jeter of the Yankees who keeps winning the Gold Gloves doesn't even get to those balls that Andrus made Great Plays on Last Night. Has Great Range.

Wonder what the Yanks would be with Cano and anyone but Jeter.

That's bound to hurt his range ... but he'll still be a step quicker than ARod signed through 2016. There are going to be more balls getting through the left side of the NYY infield than illegals crossing the border into Arizona.

forgot about him. there will be 2 wheelchairs on that side of the infield
