As someone who has had horses most of her life.. I don't purposely put them in harm's way.. I have had puny carts and wagons that were pulled by horses but never at a break neck speed that is both dangerous to the animals and they humans responsible

Also, I have no problem with them running the ponies across the field.. but in a straight line the threat of overturning the schooner isn't near as great.. but stupid is as stupid does.. I don't have any problem with them running Bevo or the Buffalo across the field.. safety to the live mascot animals should be first and foremost.. and your just stupid if you don't think it should be.

I used to drive wagons in parades and any moron who has ever held some reins in his hands knows you USE THEM. That doofus turned way too short and he was also just holding them like the horses were going to do all the thinking. Ever wonder why people keep sawing the reins when driving horses? It's because a horse needs the input. Otherwise they're apt to do any damn thing.
