Been to gameday a couple times. Here is some advice for you.

I don't know about where it is this weekend, but out here in Oregon, I would show up sometimes the night before and camp out to TRY and get a spot, and not even just a front row, but a spot within the fenced off area. Once you are in, it isn't first come first serve, it is a rat race on who will be where. Absolute chaos.

Second, IF YOU WANT TO PUT UP A SPORTSHOOPLA SIGN COVER IT UP FIRST!!!!!!!!!! I have had 2 signs confiscated at the gate because it advertised SportsHoopla.com. NOW, it was during the time the ESPN boards were up and running, so maybe they saw this as competition.

Also, don't make your sign overly large. It needs to be safe and operable by a single person. They wont allow super large banners or posters in there.

IF you do cover up your SportsHoopla sign, don't expose it until you are 100% ready and sure it will make the air, because I guarantee you, the moment they find it and deem it unsuitable they will confiscate your sign and you will be escorted out of the fenced off area.

Best of luck........It isn't as easy as youd think to get on.

So maybe a giant Popeye head would be the best sign? They would have no idea what it referred to and only Hooplans would understand!

I went to the first few at Eugene. Then just ended up not going in and watching from the back.

And in 07 we camped for both at the tailgater Friday night and I was too hungover to make it to Gameday.

Made for a hell of a weekend. About 40 hours of tailgating...:yahoo:

Yes, yes... like some sort of sicked out masonic symbolism that only weirded out sport message board members would understand.

I want college basketball reporting free from Dukies or Tar Heels. Hubert Davis is ever worse than Bilas.
