Top Tier: Alabama, Florida St
2nd Tier: Ohio St, Stanford, Baylor
3rd Tier: Oregon, Missouri, Oklahoma St
Analysis: These are the 8 teams that I think have some reasonable chance to make the nc game. Several need a lot of help.
Biggest Surprises: Baylor, Auburn, Missouri, UCF, Minnesota
Biggest Disappointments: Florida, LSU, Michigan
Florida is easily the biggest disappointment in the country. Injuries have played a major factor. Baylor was expected to be good, but not this good. Auburn and Missouri have filled the slack of other disappointing teams in the SEC. Minnesota has been a real surprise.
Heisman Trophy:
Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel are the top two. Bruce Petty is coming on fast. Marcus Mariotta may have killed off his chances. There are no locks yet.
NC Game: Alabama vs Florida St
At this point I can't see this not happening. Both teams have looked that good. Ohio State needs one of the teams to lose to get in. Baylor lacks a pedigree and still has Oklahoma State to play. Stanford and Oregon need lots of help.

Baylor vs Oklahoma St Nov 23
Florida vs Florida St Nov 30
Michigan vs Ohio St Nov 30
USC vs Stanford Nov 16
Texas AM vs Missouri Nov 30
Rivalry games tend to be closer than they look on paper. Both Alabama and Florida St will be big favorites when they play their rivals. Baylor needs to keep winning and hope for the best. Oklahoma St is a formidable team that is capable of beating them. Missouri is a longshot, but they have to win the SEC East for a chance to upset Alabama and then who knows.
