Not certain that we are keeping Pat Beverley, but if we are, I guess the guy opponent’s fans root against becomes our guy. I like that better than being bugged by him. He is our Ingles now?
Yes but I don't think opposing fans rooted against Ingles that strongly.

Part of the reason why I wanted to keep him; I felt he was class. Doesn’t mean he won’t have a chip on his shoulder when he beats us, as Minnesota beats us when we are good and bad. But I *think* he won’t be annoying or aggressive about it.

Sad day, but he never could develop an offensive game that wasn’t predicated on someone else spoon feeding him on the way up to the rim. I doubt that he could score around me and I’m 5’10”. I’m not sure the team will find a player more committed to the franchise though. He and Lilliard are rare birds in today’s NBA. If the Jazz would have kept him and rebuilt around him, I would have still been interested in the team in a ride or die kind of way. After years of Lindsay preaching not to skip steps, I’d say this is the least interested in the Jazz that I’ve ever been in 20 years.

Gobert was healthy, and committed. That's worth something.

I would have liked to keep him through a rebuild.

I stuck with Alex Smith because I watch sports for a different reason than just winning in the postseason. I’d watch Smith if he were an interception machine as much as I would if he were scoring touchdowns. Gobert to me was the same in that I felt he was committed, too, and I’d want to keep him there for the buyin and effort. I wanted to keep Mitchell because we didn’t have a superstar scorer and he was as pessimistically close as I thought we would get and trading him meant full rebuild. But I didn’t want him for the same reasons as I wanted to keep Gobert.

Getting a lot of draft picks was good, but the goal is to find an undeveloped Mitchell and Gobert to develop and lose/trade for more draft picks to pick an undeveloped Mitchell and Gobert to develop and lose/trade for more draft picks to find an undeveloped Mitchell and Gobert to develop and lose/trade for more draft picks…

I support Beverley here and I believe this is one reason why teammates like him (But opponents don’t.)

If so, maybe they can give us some draft picks to take him back and pay his salary?

Gobert seems to have to often fight against fans or other players, verbally, to emphasize his value.

Gobert is one of those guys, where I think everytime his team loses, so many people will say "I wish he could do more than dunk" and point to his offense.

Meanwhile ignoring all of the value with his rebounding and screen setting that he provides.

There's a few different stats which show that Gobert and Sabonis have been some of the best screen setters, over the past several seasons.

I don't remember Dennis Rodman, Ben Wallace, or Tyson Chandler getting as much criticism as Gobert got.

Dwight Howard might have faced some of the same criticism. But he also scored a little more, during his best years.

Are there any stats which show how Conley Jr. and Gobert looked when they were on the court together, the past few years?

Are there any bad Conley Jr. and Gobert lineups, that don't have other bad players in the lineup too?

I think Gobert is playing a little better than last year. Good to see. I want him to be as good for as long as possible, because I like watching him.

I kind of wish I could watch him from near the beginning again, to watch his growth.
