The REAL reason the Sugar chose Vtech

They put teams in bowls that people will want to watch. That is the purpose of bowls. if they wanted a performance based system we would have a playoff. Bowls are used to make money and give match-ups that will attract an audience. UM-VT is a great match-up which most of you guys are too ignorant to see.

one of the "real" reasons is because VT travels so well. Like it or not the bowls were started to boost the economy of the towns/cities they are played in. It is their choice to choose whichever eligible team they like. VT = sold out hotels, packed restaurants, and a sold out ball game. I guess in the eyes of the sugar bowl the other teams couldnt offer that.

Why do people care so damn much about being in a BCS bowl or another good bowl? KSU is in the Cotton bowl against Arkansas. They get a "better" opponent. Isnt that the reason fans are excited about bowls? To get to prove yourself against a good team.

Its also about money. In which an overrated ACC brings home big time money for 2 BCS bowl while the Big 12 (which is a tougher conference) brings home 1. Like the NC game, they got it wrong.

well, that's a good point...the Cotton Bowl actually has a better match-up than the Sugar Bowl

Since this has gone way off target with all the thin skinned Vtechers let me try to get it back on track so someone with and actual honest to gawd sense of humor can have some fun.

The reason the Sugar picked Vtech (over both BSU and Kstate) was to generate so much angst all the heat over a rematch would be leveled at them rather than the NCG.


And it seems to have worked.
