Dunning was successful in his previous start but again tonight he had that one bad inning. He can't keep doing that.

He may be a good starter but a great reliever.

The inning he gave up 4, would have been a 2 run inning had the umpire made the right call in Crawford's at bat. Stratton failed to limit the damage when he came in, as well. I am fine with Dunning's performance tonight and overall in his career.

Dane Dunning is still a relatively inexperienced starting pitcher, 85 starts. His ERA is improving every year.

If every starter gives us the performance Dane gave tonight, and the offense scores 8 every night, it will be hard to lose nore than a couple of games the rest of the regular season.

We just need 3 or 4 guys in the pen to give us some consistenly decent outings. They don't all have to be good. Just a couple each night.

Still think Chapman is a bit snakebit from Chicago. Rather have him in the 7th or 8th
