I dunno if this is also telling of the fanbase...or lack of one, or that they just don't care. I remember when the 49ers unveiled a truly horrific new logo in the early 90's - far worse than this Rams one - and there was so much backlash, that they quickly trashed it and kept going along with the then current one.

Tweaking a logo has been accepted for the most part but when there is a entire makeover of a logo, usually receives push back... See Seahawks logo... Similiar concept, just a few tweaks and was accepted very well...

Back in the 50's I lived right across the street from Hollywood Park race track. I went to the races regularly and I remember one horse in particular, the horse's name was Silky Sullivan. Yes quite a few fond memories of Hollywood Park race track.
