BUT, there will be some big time upsets this weekend that make this Saturdays weak slate feel like a nice surprise.

Tennessee 24 #19 Florida 21

Michigan State 17 # 22 Notre Dame 14

Utah State 35 USC 24

#23 Arizona State 35 #5 Stanford 31

UPSET ALERT: goes to Clemson vs NC State, State wins, but that will be a battle.

Clemson aint losing to NC State, not this year. NC State is a good spoiler team but they've got nothing this year. They'll get bombed by Taj and crew.

Cmon PodSox. You have been money in the pickem. Those are all big time upsets. Least of which is MSU over ND, but even so, MSU is a TD dog.

Utah State has there hands extremely full. Keaton is the man, a guy Texas let out of their backyard. But the USC defense has been one of the best so far this season.

And Tennessee beating Florida would be a gigantic upset that would shake college football up quite a bit.
Vols winning at the Swamp with Florida being a 2 TD favorite is the biggest upset out of OD's picks.

The Florida game could get ugly. I keep waiting for our offense to get it in gear and until they do, any inspired team can be a problem.

I'm all for hating on USC and I'm not much of a gambler anymore, but it occurs to me that despite their woes and coach, betting against the team that is probably better at 15-20 positions is a bad idea, even though I loves me some Chuckie Keeton.

OP must be kidding. NC State only beat Richmond by 2 pts. Clemson will take them out behind the woodshed.

I didn't say Clemson would lose, I said it could be a fight and Clemson might be in for a scary night. They obviously handled business.

Reason for some of these upsets.

Tenn/Florida: Florida has no offense to speak of, Tennessee's defense really isn't that bad, they just weren't use to the Ducks style of play and our offense was just too good. Tennessee will either come out to this game furious of what happened to them in Eugene and play smart and hard to earn respect back, or they come out completely demoralized from last weekend. I think they come out smart and play hard on both sides of the ball, they run a lot with that O-Line of theirs and keep that non effective Florida O on the sidelines.

Utah State/USC: Utah State is the best offense USC has seen this year, everyone praises their new DC and defense, but they haven't even played a team with an offensive pulse this year. Chuckie is mobile and that has killed USC in the past, USC doesn't have depth on D either. Utah state gets that underdog feeling early in this game which hypes them up all game long as they start believing. USC offense is dreadful.

MSU/ND: Boring game, just think MSU wins.

ASU/Stanford: As a Duck, we need Stanford to win this game, as it bodes well for our SOS. BUT Stanford hasn't looked good at all this year and ASU has some momentum and they are starting to jell and get confidence, scary as they are athletic as heck. Sutton is a beast and if this goes into a shootout I like ASU's chances. Stanford falls short at home.

I think the Gators and Trojans are safe. USC being least safe, but I think they win.

If they win tomorrow they'll be ripe for upset by USC next week.
