I agree 100% !That's exactly why we are packed with middle and bottom sixes on forward and bottom 4 defensemen. We need to get one or two of those top stars in this draft or use those picks to get a top star this season.

Most likely 4 centers will be gone before we even have our first pick. Most of the time the 5th best center in the draft doesn't turn out to be a super star. Im hoping we get lucky.

Probably have to hope Utah or Chicago wants Martone but feels like they could scoop up a couple assets and still get him at 6.

Buts it’s super unlikely any of these get moved. Last time a top 5 pick was moved was 2009 and NYI went from 5 to 7. So, not impossible but it’s been 16 years.

I put up a story a few weeks ago about how each team with 3 first round picks fared over the years and none of them did really great.

We need to start wheeling and dealing and make sure we can get a top center in this draft or via trade with another team.

I watched their semi final game be cause they were on the NHL channel.

Here was my biggest take away point. Denver Barkey is a carbon copy of Brink. Do we need both of them on our team? No is the answer.

May want to start looking to add one of them into ma trade to upgrade our team.

For sure 100%. You can look at every draft ever and probably half out of the top 20 picks e never did anything.
