The Flyers were headed to the playoffs and then they took Hart from our team.

This situation is fucking sick. If they had simply killed the whore afterwards they would have had a better chance to continue their hockey careers. Terrible precedent for the clown country of canada to set.

Seems pretty unlikely.

A Stars win tonight would put the Avs pick between 19-25 I believe. With Ottawa, Minnesota, and St Louis on the ropes, more likely to be 22-25.

Drop her off in the hood? I don't know. I'm not an ideas guy.

But this is fucking psycho and there will be no consequences for the perpetrators of this atrocity.

Some teams lost one player. We lost our fucking goalie.

That's kind of my thing on the goalies right now. Any goalie can get hot or go on a run in the right situation. They have plenty of maybes in Ersson, Bjarnsson, and Zavragin. I'd probably still spend a mid-round pick on one just to keep the pipeline going. Might even use one of their 4 second rounders to do it. But there's no need to get too worked up about it right now. Sign a journeyman in the offseason for a year or two to partner with Ersson and continue trying to build out the rest of the roster.

Maybe when we look back a few years from now the rough goaltending this season (and next?) was the key to the rebuild because it allowed them to add a high end pick.

Only guy on that list I'd rather them not sign is Freddy Andersen. He's always hurt. Wouldn't really be mad about signing him because he's a good goalie, but he's just so unreliable.

Everyone else though, sure, why not? As long as they don't lock one of those guys in to like 3+ years, I think it'd be worth it.

BTW, I have been pounding away, the last three or four months, to get a new banner made for this thread. I haven't given-up yet but I have discovered that when this site was sold to the new owner, some of the code was changed and it doesn't recognize certain dimensional codes of sites that specialize in banners. So, I'll be continuing to find a way.

Kevin Weekes also tweeted the Flyers interviewed Ferschweiler. So maybe Tocchet is only written in pencil at this point.

Sullivan - would be cool with it, but I'd be shocked if he picked the Flyers
Tocchet - Fine. Nepotism would be aggravating, but not totally against it.
Hakstol - Hell no.
Laviolette - Liked him, but probably not a fit in a rebuild
Quenneville - No thanks.
Torts - Obviously not
Woodcroft - This would be a pretty interesting one.
Blashill - Not exactly an exciting choice, but working with Cooper for 3 seasons makes him an interesting choice
Ducharme - More interesting names available.
Eakins - No thanks.
Gallant - No thanks
Lalonde - No.
Reirden - No thanks.
Vincent - Definitely not.
Ferschweiler - Would be an interesting one.
Foote - Seems like he'd be good for a developing d-corps at least.
Halpern - 7 years as an assistant with Cooper and almost 1000 games played, I think this would be a good one.
Laperriere - I'd lead the riot.
Love - Not sure 1 year as an assistant with the Caps who seem to be riding the GR8 chase high all year is enough qualification. But I'd rather take a chance on someone new than a lot of these other guys
Nelson - Not overly exciting.
Vellucci - Hadn't heard of him and the description says a lot of roles he's served in but doesn't mention the results.
Shaw - Wouldn't hate it.

Great rundown. I’ll be with you in the riot if they elevate Lappy
