If USC had won would Sark still be their HC right now?

I'm sure Sark really really really wanted to beat his former team. On top of the other stresses he was under and his growing inability to even hide his problem losing that game clearly sent him on a bender. If USC wins that game he's probably not fired that week. Would he have lasted one more week? 3? 5?

I don't know about that. He was sent home the first practice after that game because of his erratic behavior. He had signed a document stating that he'd be fired if there were any more alcohol related issues. Maybe if we had won, he doesn't get drunk or at least not so that he shows up at the next practice acting weird. Then he may have kept his job. But, same behavior after a win? I don't think it would have mattered.

 @Utah and BYU playing in Vegas. I'll bet the casino, strip club and bar owners are pissed. Should have paired up Wazzou and BYU. All the drunk Cougs mixing with the Mormon's would have been epic.

How about most losses are caused from some level of both.

That's more or less what TF12 said. I'm sure others agree. It wasn't your offenses best day, but given that UW held a lot of good teams down it's reasonable to assume they were part of why they didn't perform well. That's all anyone said. It's more reasonable to say that than to simply say your drunk coach was to blame or some other excuse. Neither offense was great that day. A couple of USC's turnovers were probably on them and the rest were just great effort/play by the D. At the end of the day UW survived and won.

Can we put that game to bed now? I mean it was how many months ago? :noidea:

All of this because I dared to suggest I could see where UW could win 9 next season. :tsk:

Thanks for your insight but Ive been going to USC games since John Robinsons first game at SC and this game was right up there with the top stinkers. Im not putting down the huskies just saying it was a terrible performance. Everyonr could tell something was really wrong. Like I said earlier I expect both to play better. The huskies will be more experianced and hopefully USC won have drama.

4-star CB David Long has decommitted from Stanford for the 2016 class. One of the top CB prospects in the nation. He's listed Washington and Michigan as his top choices.

As regent said David Long is on the market. Admissions causality.

Go get him dawgs, do not let Michigan get him.

I've heard rumblings for a month that this could be happening and I do think Long committing to the Huskies is in the works, but what Harbaugh is building at Michigan is very tempting as well. Long has a good relationship with Husky DB coach Jimmy Lake. Considering words out on what our defense is doing, not shocking he'll want to be a part of what the Huskies are cooking if Stanford isn't the right fit. I know USC is interested as well so we got our work cut out to get the commit finalized by LOI.

Go Dawgs!!!!

The last coaching vacancy for Washington, Dline, appears to be filled. Former Husky Ikaika Malloe, whose the current Dline coach at Utah State reportedly will be accepting the offer and an announcement is coming next week after their bowl game.

Was considered one the best Dline coaches in the NCAA last year and making a name for himself. Played on the Husky defense in the mid-90s for Jim Lambright. Was a G.A. for Rick Neuheisel. Coached for defenses with UTEP, Hawaii, Yale, Portland St., and currently Utah State.

Got a lot of ties to Hawaii as he grew up there so should be great recruiter out there as well and with the west coast poly pipeline in general.

Former Husky and great Dline coach. I like it. :suds:

That was my first thought... Clearly their selection team isn't too concerned about boosting the local economy with the bowl game. WSU should have an automatic tie in to that game if they're bowl eligible.

There are still plenty of big money booster at both schools, especially BYU. They'll be loading up the clans in big suites and doing plenty of spending on entertainment and shopping. Utah has plenty of non-LDS fans and boosters as well. They'll be going for it. Especially getting out of moral code central, SLC. PARTAY!!!!

6 AM let the tailgate start. This is my red out day right down to my socks and boxers.

I know our bowl isn't the biggest by any means but, it's a bowl and I'm happy. After we take care of UNM, only a few hours until the basket CATS take care of UNLV. I think I'll have a smile on my face when I finally lay my head down to sleep. No matter what happens though I will wake with a smile cause I leave for Morro Bay tomorrow for a week.

Anyway Merry Christmas and GO CATS! :suds:

BYU is set to hire Oregon State defensive coordinator and former BYU fullback Kalani Sitake. An announcement will be coming in the next couple days.

These hires are always complicated because they have to be approved by the LDS church, but appears he was one of their top choices and that shouldn't cause anything to be held up.

Gonna miss Scooby. Some NFL team is going to be really happy when they steal him in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Wish him the best, absolute joy to watch his career at Arizona.

I was thinking the same thing, if they can get him in the 3rd that could be a steal. The Cards could really use a good OLB.

I doubt that comes as a shock. That zona D is just terrible and there probably isn't any more that playing his last season would have done to raise his stock because of it. He'd simply be risking injury for likely no gain.

3rd round? I'm sure his people are telling him he's more likely a second rounder.

Chad Wheeler Reportedly Transported to Hospital After Altercation with Police

USC Trojans junior offensive lineman Chad Wheeler reportedly had to be taken to a hospital following an altercation with Los Angeles police officers at an apartment Saturday.

According to NBC News, the incident occurred Saturday morning:

Los Angeles officers responded to a man at around 8:45 a.m. PT (11:45 a.m. ET) who was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol, punching walls and windows, and injuring his hands inside an apartment in South Los Angeles near the USC campus, said the law enforcement sources close to the investigation.

Sources told Blankstein that police officers "fired beanbag rounds at him after he got into an altercation with them" but did not disclose the details of what led to the disturbance.

Blankstein added that Wheeler was not arrested but is being held under private protective custody at the hospital "for psychiatric evaluation."

USC head coach Clay Helton told reporters at the team's practice in preparation for the Dec. 30 Holiday Bowl matchup with Wisconsin that Wheeler was absent while dealing with a "personal issue".

Wheeler is a three-year starter at USC, though he missed the final five games in 2014 after suffering a torn ACL in a matchup against Utah and missed this season's contest against Utah after suffering a concussion.

His new BFF is agent Drew RAThouse. Let the pimping begin.

As for Zona, that defense was world class bad without Wright so RichRod better start addressing the glaring issues with that D going forward. He turned down the SC gig, so he likes the Zona lifestyle, but he better start putting the same effort into the D and he does the O.
