From what I heard from someone who works for that industry, Disney's investment in a major themepark in China has performed so bad, it caused them to slash the budgets, even the big moneymakers, in a kneejerk damage control move. ESPN got gutted the past year with ESPN firing a lot of their best talent. What's been left behind is mostly garbage. And to make matters worse, they're under orders to get more political than ever, to promote the agenda from the executives running the corporation.

The well coordinated hit piece on the Huskies during that game was a new low for ESPN and they've been really circling the drain lately.

That'd be pretty great if every Pac coach just made a little passing comment about late games in their press conferences this week. If what Petersen said got their jims so twisted, imagine what 12 coaches saying it will do.

That was Herbie's response, but the game crew was obviously super offended Petersen wouldn't meet on camera with them prior to the game and seriously took it out on him and his program during the broadcast.

Petersen doesn't meet with any media one on one before games. Not for any network. He does his phone in requirements and that's it. The game crew made him pay for his privacy rules. It will be interesting to see how they handle it next week when again he refuses to meet with them. I mean if he was already dead set against it, why on earth would he change it now after the way they treated him and his program?

Would herbie and game crews treat Saban that way? Meyer? Even Harbs who is strange as fuck?

Honestly they still treat Petersen as if he was back at Boise State. He isn't given any type of upper respect for what he's doing. They do the same to Leach, but he's a caricature as it is.

ESPN feels they are sports gods. Bow down to them or suffer their wrath.

Actually it would be better for a Pac 12 team to win the whole damn thing as one the ESPN jockey's are standing there interviewing the Head Coach , head coach asks reporter, "so will this get your network of the SEC nut sack now?"

Shaw is one of the coolest cats out there. He was the first coach to speak up about the SEC's 8 game conference schedule and he didn't hold back.

Washington was supposed to play Wisconsin this year, not Rutgers. Wisconsin backed out and Washington had to find a replacement. Rutgers was available and at the time they had just went 7 - 5 and Washington had just went 6 - 6. The crystal ball wasn't working when Rutgers football program decided to take a dive. Of course you won't hear anything about that from ESPN.

That was done last year when they scheduled Auburn. That is unless Auburn goes in the trash before next September.
