Probably just breaking up the LHPs

Yeah, someone mentioned that yesterday....think it was Scotty.

And your both probably right. I didn't even think about that.

BYW, WTF is going on in College Station at the QB position?

My goodness...........

According to the Associated Press, the Dodgers have been hit with a record luxury tax of nearly $43.6 million for a payroll that fell just shy of $300 million during the 2015 season

I got a laugh about it due them using all those "card" routines to perfection. Never had thought about how they play the "whoa is me" card so well and often.

I never will forget the jackass st. louis fan who jumped on my ass for a comment about how the wind was noticeably lighter for Game 4 than it was Game 3. He flipped out because he thought I was suggesting that was why the Rangers lost Game 3.

And this wasn't some online exchange where tone can be misunderstood... this was in the seats at the Ballpark.

The fans and the team seem to be same - same when it comes to the old, "us versus the world" nonsense.

What's that old saying about, "just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get ya."

Listen, I lived in Suck Louis for almost 18 months and I hate the fucking place. But I do admire the baseball team, what they've accomplished, and by far, for the most part, find their fans to be pretty knowledgeable and decent.

Yeah I missed Scotty's comments on it, but never hurts to reinforce the point

Kyle Allen had a legit beef do to them doting on Kyler Murray so much... but Murry is just an entitled baby who didn't get what he wanted... Allegedly Trevor Knight is coming here from Oklahoma to provide some competition for Hubanek, hopefully we'll be ok, I actually liked whay I saw from Hubanek n the couple times I saw him, give him the reps and he'll be fine I think

From everything I hear the Murray's (father and son) are a cancer to any program they touch

no denying the team has been successful. But that chip that's firmly planted on everyone's shoulder up there... hoo boy.

From Andy Staples at SI............
When Jameill Showers left Texas A&M in January 2013, it didn't seem like a big deal. After all, the Aggies had Johnny Manziel. Plus, Kenny Hill was on the way.

When Matt Davis left in August 2013, it didn't seem like a big deal. After all, A&M had Manziel and Hill. Plus, Kyle Allen was on the way.

When Matt Joeckel left in April 2014, it didn't seem like a big deal. After all, the team still had Hill and Allen.

And when Hill left the school in January 2015, it didn't seem like a big deal. After all, Allen had beaten out Hill for the A&M starting job midway through the '14 season. A week later, the Aggies would also be sure prized prospect Kyler Murray was on the way.

The revolving door at quarterback never seemed that troubling because the Aggies always had a pair of talented ones. Quarterback isn't like offensive tackle. The player who loses the starting job can't slide to the other tackle or guard spot. Attrition was expected. Then the situation in College Station got weird.

Been seeing this for a week or so now. But I can't imagine the Rangers getting a fair enough offer to want to move him.

Do you think anyone would offer us much?

Doubtful Jd gets offered anywhere near the return he expects for a 22 year old with injury history. In JD's and the teams eyes, I'm sure he still has tremendous value, while other teams will argue that because of the injuries. Then again he is just 22. I don't see him moved for what teams will offer, but someone may blow JD's socks off

I agree with every sentence.

Fully aware that the home team generally values their "prospects" more than the negotiating team. But in this case, we've gone this long with Profar, he's still very young, seems to be healing/healed, and I just don't see the upside of letting a talent like him go for 40 cents on the dollar. Made up dollar amount, but seriously don't see him bringing what he could have brought before his physical troubles began.

Hell, if he bellies up for us, so be it. THE thing I don't want to see is up give up on this kid and him kick ML butt for the next decade plus. And some of that butt will be our own.

I agree, we've stuck it out and he could be everything he was advertised to be, and we would be kicking ourselves. Hopefully he returns to health and we never have to make the Ruben Mateo comparison. Knocking on wood as I type. Nobody berate me for that please, just a possibility

From the comfort of my chair, my view is that the Rangers should listen to offers, but as stated, the offers will probably be subpar given Profar's recent history. Best case would be to bring him to ST and then start the season in AAA. If he lights it up in 2016, then that - plus the standard trade deadline needs - should bring much better offers.

(not intending to say we should 100% move Profar. Just that the offers could be better down the road than they are now).
