rather see them bring back Gallardo & Lewis

My expectations for each of them are, Gallardo will get a QO and he'll refuse it, and Lewis will be negotiated with on a one year deal, and maybe have some type second year player/team option included.

My gut feeling is that Lewis' agent will say "ummm, yeah... 17 wins. 2 year deal please."

2/16 is probably where I cap it if I'm the Rangers.

My guess is a one year deal with an option. Lewis will probably take it. He doesn't want to pitch anywhere else.

That's at least what I'd ask for anyway. Starting point.

This one may get a tad more sticky than some think though. I think someone will offer him a two year deal, so it may force the Rangers to step up or step out.

Although I don't think he wants to pitch anywhere else, he also knows his finish line is sooner than later. He also knows he's given the Rangers a hometown deal for the past two years and it's time for him to get some gravy. And I don't blame him.

Hometown deal? The guy has been coming off surgeries for the last two seasons. One of which was completely uncharted territory. I'd say the Rangers did him plenty fair.

I know this. But he outperformed on both seasons.

What on earth is Fox thinking with having Alex Rodriquez as a studio analyst during the ALCS and then again during the WS?

I view Alex like I view those bad wrestlers that everyone loves to hate. Let him play the heel. He was born for it.

Yeah where is a Mean Gene when you need him? Ha. BTW. ...... And Scooter's deal was a bit of an overpay right. Haha

Happy medium is one year with incentives and 2nd year option based upon performance

Pete Rose is as big of a jerk as they come. Talk about a punk of a baseball player and person. And Reynolds has no business being a game analyst.

I rank Colby a lot closer to where he ranked in ERA than where he ranked in wins. The guy has been a warrior, but he sure gets hurt a lot which shouldn't really be surprising considering his age.

It will be very intriguing to see what the club has planned for Choo and Fielder. Both have contracts which keep them here way past their prime. That brings about some interesting choices. Do you wait to part ways with them in a year or two when you can't get much of anything at all for them? Or do you attempt to move one or both this offseason when they still have some value and replace them with better hitters?

He had 62 starts over the last 2 seasons. He doesn't get hurt that much.

I didn't say he misses a lot of games. That is why I said he is a warrior. He pitches through a lot of his injuries, but I believe they affect his performance overall.

I don't think JD and the Rangers are even considering that at the moment maybe in a couple of years but why would they gut their offense right now? If anything I think JD is looking to load up right-hand LF bat with some punch to complement Choose, Beltre & Fielder in the batting order
