from some of the comments on the radio today i would not want Cespesdes on this team
You could be right, but then again after seeing him hit close to 40 HRs for Houston and playing against us for about 20 games per season for a couple of seasons you might change your mind.

I remember several folks not wanting Beltre because he was said to only perform in contract years.

And that implies choo being traded, which I don't see happening.

IMO trading Choo right now to accommodate a FA signing is a budget-buster of ball-busting proportions. It's a potential negative squared.

First, you know we're gonna have to eat big time money on Choo. Second, we're gonna have to pay Upton somewhere between $14-20 mil for one season, with no compensation headed back here after he leaves.

I want NOTHING to do with this guy.

He, according to some - rumored to include both Kershaw and Grienke - is the most polarizing person in the clubhouse EVER.

Partner....for every Ying, there's Yang.....for each up, there's a down......this is "literally" a never-ending story.

NO.....actually, no.....I'm not. :pound:

Gee.....come on DT. Start carping about "can't take me anywhere" truisms."

I'm headed to the adult beverage pantry.

So in other words in order to get Yang we need to get Ying. What do you think that will cost us?

Who made these comments and what did they say? Seems like he was drawing some negative reviews not long ago.

they were saying that the Mets definitely did not want him back because the players did not like his attitude

Long term how long do you expect Choo to remain in the OF here?

Do you think they use him until he has poor production and then place him on the bench?

It's hard to say and really depends on the level at which he declines. If you held a gun to my head, I'd say 3 more years, maybe 4, then he gets traded.

If he is able to produce close to what he did in the 2nd half and really he should based upon his past then I am okay with Choo in RF. But you are right in that it is difficult to say at what point does he begin to decline. He does take good care of himself so we shall see.

Upton to the Tigers. 6/132.75 mil.
So much for that. Now what?
