What exactly was the dig?

Most reported it saying how much he signed for. Fraley had to mention the percentage increase and remind everyone first that he hadn't played the last couple of years. This is his tweet to link to his story. Classy guys like TR Sullivan and Jeff Wilson didn't see fit to report it that way.

His article about Wilhelmsen has the same note about % increase in the title. Is he being a dick? Debatable. But he's certainly not "getting a dig in" with Profar.

Well I guess we disagree then. Then we have disagreed about Profar before so that is nothing new. The phrase, "How to get a raise without playing" is the clincher for me.

It isn't just using the percentage increase. If he didn't have a history of this kind of thing with younger players I might be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as well.

Then, he has been dead wrong about veteran players as well like when he thought Pudge was washed up and not worth re-signing when Pudge left the first time.

Yes, I am sure Fraley realizes that many hold Profar in high regard. You can see from what he writes that he doesn't regard him very highly though.
