if it makes you feel better I went to the beach with 2 girls nearly 30 years ago I got burned so bad that I stayed in the house for 3 day im my underware only,,even the wind blowing on my legs hurt

About 10 years ago my wife and I and another couple ented a little boat in a touristy town near me. Spent about 4 hours on a little bay off Lake Michigan.
Didn't use enough [any?] sunscreen.
Got blisters.
Was working construction at the time.
Had to cover the top of my legs in aloe vera before work, then wear sweat pants with my tool belt over the top of them.
That was a miserable week.
[to this day I remember it every time I drive past that house I worked on]
