This has me worried. Conventional medical wisdom says not to return to football after this particular surgery. Hell, ask anyone who's had spinal surgery...you never have it just once, 'cause your spine is never as strong as it was.

Bottom line: a perfectly clean hit on Manning could be crippling, if he lands the wrong way. Should that happen, God-dull will be on the one who made the hit like white on rice, if only because he's wearing black and gold. Too bad we had to get the Nags first. Better it should be some other team, one that Good-duhhh doesn't hate, that takes Payton out. Maybe we'll get lucky, and he'll get clobbered in the pre-season, but I'm not holding my breath.

It just sucks. Our boys could play hard-hitting but clean, and still get fucked. But on the other hand, I sure as Hell don't want 'em taking it easy on Manning. They have to play the game, and play to win.
