UCLA is going to lose Smith.

His coach is having a meeting with him to help him decide. He's going to Georgia.

Harbaugh and company tried that route with Cass Tech's head coach and Mike Weber's family last week and again this morning with Mike. It didn't turn out so well. These kids usually end up where they want despite what family and high school coaches' input suggests.

In all honesty, these kids should attend their school of choice, regardless. Their hearts have to be in it, imo.

C'mon Houston. Be a duck! USC LB recruits 5* Porter Gustin and 4*’s Osa Masina and Cameron Smith are all studs. There's not a crowded LB corp. at Oregon.

Texas killed it as well, all things considered. A class this good after last season? FAR outpacing the rest of the conference? Just wow.

That is the key. Texas needs to dominate the Big 12 recruiting which will eventually rebuild its winning ways. It had lost its talent edge and started losing talent to OSU, TCU, and Baylor. That ends today.

Considering the empty cupboard mess Mack left and a very uneven (6-7) season.....Texas had an outstanding offseason that lapped all its Big 12 rivals.

Its the old storyline, "I don't need to be faster than the Lion chasing us. I just need to be faster than you."

Well not exactly. Overall I am pleased with this class. Did not expect to beat Texas in the rankings as they were just had too many schollies to offer.

BUT in the end, we tied with them on qualty of this class. Both OU and Texas averagaed 3.46 stars per player. They ranked ahead of us because they signed 28 us 24.

Van Jefferson and Tyrone Wheatley Jr. to Michigan would give us a nice crop of receiving targets in this class (possibly the best overall): Brian Cole, Van Jefferson, Tyrone Wheatley Jr. and Grant Perry.

Gotta make this happen.
