Harbaugh has been at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL this week trying to flip FSU QB commit Deondre Francois. Keep your grubby mitts off Harbaugh. We need the 3 QB commits we have.

I believe Jim Harbaugh is more interested in flipping Texas Longhorn 4 star QB commit Zach Gentry out of ABQ, New Mexico. Harbaugh visited Gentry a couple days ago, and Zach will be visiting Ann Arbor this weekend.

Texas just MIGHT pull off the greatest recruiting coup in the history of the state.

They got unofficial visits from top state QB and WR Kyler Murray and Demarkus Lodge last week. Daylon Mack, the top DE, who was not scheduled to visit, is on an OV right now in Austin. It's looking more and more likely that Texas will take a large chunk of A&M's class in the last 2 weeks of recruiting.......all of these guys are 5 star recruits, and if Texas lands them, they'll have the top state prospect at nearly every position in this class. It will also most likely propel Texas to a top 3 national class. Things are getting very interesting, and if Texas does indeed pull this off, the aggy meltdown will be possibly the greatest in recorded history.

I doubt Texas gets all of them...or any of them for that matter...smokescreen posturing.
But, the recruiting momentum has picked up for Texas back to its usual top 10ish level.

Texas (contrary to popular belief) did not reel in #1 classes all the time. Mack only got those super high rated classes once or twice. Typically it was more like in the top 15ish.

A&M (contrary to popular belief) has always been a strong recruiter. The high rated classes that Sumlin got are more in line with what the Aggies always did in the 80s,90s, early 2000s.

I think both schools will continue to do well state recruiting.
The schools that will suffer most are Oklahoma, Okie Jr, and Arkansas.
It has been a while since they had to deal with UT and A&M both recruiting high level ....and Baylor/TCU suddenly being destinations as well.

It could spiral out of control badly soon in Norman.

OU saw the writing on the wall a few years ago, and stopped putting all their eggs in the Texas basket. This is why they lack talent, and don't land top 10 classes.

Mack didn't get much attention during his TCU visit the other day...the dude is just rustling jimmies. Strong pretty much told Kyler that he would start now they have to talk Swoops off a ledge and keep him from transferring.

Now if Kyler goes to the sips it might well cause an Aggie meltdown and we will have to endure the orange slings and arrows of "Poor Aggie sucks so bad that their greatest QB's son won't go there."

We got some good JC guys coming in and snagged some really good coaches. If we lose some of these "big names" we'll be just fine. The defense will be a hundred times better regardless. I'll take 3rd and Chavis over 1st and Snyder any day.

I'd be surprised if KM doesn't come play with the good guys but you never know.
