You already have a super team!Suga Shane is plucking some ridic value so far imo. Pedro and Dr. J in particular. Nos can I please be in whatever spot he’s in in do the next one of these?
imo it’s boring as hell…and then like my buddy @Hall says…”until it’s not”. It can def provide some of the best moments. Season is too long for me. Playoffs are funI just want to say one thing.
Baseball is by far the best sport in the world IMO Open for disagreements but you better have strong arguments.
Regular season is fun but only if you have a favorite team. I can't just watch random games if my team isn't playing. The MLB playoffs is probably the best in any sport imo. It's unlike other sports bc you see lower market teams compete and sometimes win it. Not too often you see that in the NBA unless they have a superstar. The NFL is usually led by the face of the league or loaded teams. It's just not the same imo. I don't watch soccer or hockey but I hear hockey is pretty damn exciting. I need to go to a Stars game soonimo it’s boring as hell…and then like my buddy @Hall says…”until it’s not”. It can def provide some of the best moments. Season is too long for me. Playoffs are fun
Baseball used to be one of my favorite sports but it's not even close to the best sport. Here is the biggest argument for me:I just want to say one thing.

I agree. They do need a floor and ceiling for MLB but even with a cap in the other sports usually the larger market teams win championships but we have seen smaller market teams compete at a high level. MLB needs to change to a floor and ceiling but I doubt that will ever happen.Baseball used to be one of my favorite sports but it's not even close to the best sport. Because there is no salary cap, large market teams are going to usually end up on top. While it's not always the case, the large market areas will usually produce a better than average chance of making the playoffs and/or a deep run. Sure there are cinderella stories from time to time but in general this stands true. Just look at this year...of the 4 remaining teams, the Mets, Yankees and Dodgers are the 3 highest team salaries in the MLB. Guardians are 28th.
2023 - Texas 9th, Astros 10th, Phillies, 4th, Diamondbacks 21st
2022 - Astros 10th, Yankees 3rd, Phillies 4th, Padres 5th
2021 - Astros 7th, Red Sox 6th, Braves 14th, Dodgers 1st
2020 - Covid year, only 60 games played
2019 - Astros 8th, Yankees 3rd, Nationals 7th, Cardinals 6th.
The Salary Cap was introduced into the NBA in 1984. Since then the parity of championships between organizations is much closer. The Spurs for example have more championships than the Celtics since 1984. Stars obviously run the NBA, but it's a byproduct of the organizations. The better run organizations, the better drafting organizations, will hold footing instead of simply being able to just pay who they want.I agree. Boston and LA have the most NBA championships. You will see teams like Cleveland or Milwaukee win it, smaller market teams but kinda rare as well unless they have a megastar.
The NFL revolves around the face of the league. Brady for so long. Montana. Now Mahomes. At times it seems so staged.
Hockey is entire different story.
In the last 25 years we have really only seen 3 smaller market teams win the NBA championship...even with a cap.
More than any other sport the NBA is a players league. The Spurs have more championships than the Celtics because they have got lucky as shit three times in the lottery. I kinda hate them for that. Someone please tell me how great of a coach, Greg Popovich has been since Tim Duncan retired? The Salary Cap was introduced into the NBA in 1984. We've already established the NBA is a stars league and it drives the success. There are a handful of coaches who have been able to turn around bad teams without any star power. You can only do so much with the talent you have. The Spurs were on the right trajectory until the whole Kawhi fiasco. Then it all went to shit. In Duncan's last year, where he averaged 8.6 pts a game, it was very much Kawhi's team. That team went 67-15 and was a real threat to knock out the 73 win Warriors early.More than any other sport the NBA is a players league.
