His term lasts from Feb. 17, 2014 to June 30, 2020.
He gets an annual salary of $470,000, with a minimum 5 percent annual raise starting Jan. 1, 2015.
He received a $325,000 signing bonus.
Bonuses for achievements in different sports include:
•1 1/2 month's salary for football bowl appearance (2 months if one of College Football Playoff games)
•$25,000 for football national championship
•$25,000 for men's or women's basketball national championship
•$15,000 for men's basketball NCAA tournament appearance ($10,000 more if men's basketball advances to the Sweet 16)
•$10,000 for women's basketball NCAA tournament appearance ($5,000 more if women's basketball advances to the Sweet 16)
•$15,000 for every university Olympic sport wins national championship
•$10,000 for every university team sport wins ACC championship
•$10,000 if cumulative intercollegiate GPA is 3.0 or higher at the end of the academic year
•$10,000 if the cumulative intercollegiate APR is 960 or higher at the end of the academic year
Annual dues at the Blacksburg Country Club.
