So there is a lot of buzz among Sixers fans right now that the Sixers will never realize their full potential and that maybe they need to move one of Embiid or Simmons. And since Simmons is playing really well right and Embiid is out, it's mostly about trading Embiid.

So I figured let's talk about potential trades that would involved current superstars.

So let's come up with some hypothetical trade offers for big name players that would actually make sense for the teams.

To keep this conversation reasonably broad, we can consider anyone who has made the All-NBA team in the past 2 years as a superstar and any all-star under 25.

To be clear, it is highly unlikely that ANY superstar is going to be traded in the next year or so but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't.

So I'll start with Embiid ideas.

Embiid for Lillard. Lillard would be a much better fit for Simmons. The Blazers will never be a great team as constructed and they are unlikely to dramatically improve in the next few years.

Embiid for KAT. Similar players in size but their games are very different. Embiid's ball dominance is probably what the Twolves want from KAT who isn't always keen on being the focus of attention. KAT's offensive game probably works with Simmons more than Embiid's low post game.

LOL.

I don't think there is any chance the Sixers are going to trade Embiid or Simmons during the season or next offseason. If the Sixers underperform in the playoffs then they will fire Brown and see what a new coach can do with this club.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that trading one of them isn't the RIGHT move.

D'Lo, Paschall, 2020 1st Rd Pick for Embiid.

You'd have a starting lineup next year of:

D'Lo
Richardson
Harris
Simmons
Horford

and likely a top 3-5 pick.

Stephen A is usually a little more grounded in reality than this.

I instantly turned the channel.

Like, even if you ignored the salary, the difference in their level of play...

Oubre, Bridges, Cam Johnson and Kuzma?

LMFAO

I dont get why Sixer fans are so keen in trying to get rid of one of these 2. When those guys are on the floor together the Sixere PPP is 1 17. Thats phenomenal. Inagine how much different this conversation could be if only a 20+ foot, hand in the face Kawhi jumper had not gone in?
